Eyebrow Threading

Last week I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time ever at Shobha in New York City! I've been a long time eyebrow waxer but I think Shobha has now converted me to a threader! They have locations throughout New York City, I went to the one in the Financial District. My eyebrows were done by the well-known and extremely talented, Shashi and she did a fabulous job. My shape has completely changed and perfected. Shashi has even worked on A-list celebrities! I tried, but I couldn't get the names out of her! She usually works at their Columbus Circle location; you must go and see her. Look at the magic she did... When you get your eyebrows threaded, your skin does not get affected the way it does when you get them waxed. I have extremely sensitive skin so this was a major plus for me! I did get a little irritation but nothing compared to how red I used to get when I would get them waxed. Threading also allows the specialist to be more precise than with waxing. It was o

NYC Restaurant Week

When New York City Restaurant Week happens it's as if another Miracle on 34th Street has happened! Restaurant Week gives New Yorkers and tourists alike the ability to venture to some of the best New York City restaurants, usually the ones that the average joe couldn't normally afford to go to. It occurs twice a year and this is something you do not want to miss! The restaurants that participate have a special three course lunch and dinner menu that they create for the event. This time around, the lunch menu is $25 and dinner one is $38; these prices are such a steal for the lavish places you get to go to! Last week, I went to Pranna, which is on 28th and Madison and it was delish. Here's a preview of the menu . Of course, I documented the whole thing so enjoy the pictures below... Here's part of the restaurant that I was able to see from where I was sitting. What's really cool about Pranna is that it's not only a restaurant but it is a lounge as well! T

It's getting a little Fishy!

This week's new dish is Parmesan Salmon! It was delicious! I got the recipe once again from Food.com . I made more salmon than the recipe called for, so I obviously doubled the measurements. It really gave the salmon a different flavor than I've ever tried before. Very tasty! Follow me on:   Bloglovin' ,  Twitter ,  YouTube ,  Facebook .

So easy to make and it made the whole house smell great! This is definitely a recipe I am going to use again! Good job Food.com, you succeeded once again! Outfit of the Day

Let's get a little FunSized Fashion going on! This is what I wore yesterday when we were shooting at Tavern on Third for Best Sports Bar in NYC .  I am a wearing a Joie Marru top in Nile blue. The way this top photographs and looks in person is a bit different. In person, it has more of a purple hue in it. Joie is a great shop! They have multiple locations throughout New York City, and they are also available at Bloomingdales! Along with some Guess Skinny Jeans and Jeffrey Campbell Litas, I was ready for a day in front of the camera. Follow me on:   Bloglovin' ,  Twitter ,  YouTube ,  Facebook .

Best Sports Bar in NYC Episode

Yesterday, I had a FFC day at the Tavern on Third Sports Bar shooting another episode of Best Sports Bar in NYC with Jeremy Jack ! We had a great time trying out their drink specials and fantastic food while hanging out with the crowd as they watched the playoff game. The video will be out sometime later this week, but in the meantime take some time to check out a few production stills from the shoot on my Facebook Page . Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel as well as SportsRev.TV's , so you can be notified when the video airs! XO, FunSized

In the Kitchen with FunSized

One of many goals for 2013 is to try a new recipe each week. What better way to start this off than for my Mom's Birthday Dinner! January 8th is not only Elvis' Birthday but it is also my fabulous Mom's Birthday. So this past Tuesday, I prepared for her 'Provençal Lamb Daube,' which is a recipe I found in InStyle Magazine's January Issue. I'm a sucker for anything French so I thought I try this recipe by chef Daniel Boulud  out. I found the recipe online to share with all of you, however it is not from InStyle's website even though that's the magazine I found it from! There are many ingredients that go into this dish, so prepping took up a lot of time but baking it took even longer! Here's the before picture...   And finally after baking for 2 1/2 hours...                           I left out the potatoes and didn't make the garlic grits. We had some kale on the side that I cooked on the stove in some oil and c

Petite Abeille

If you are looking for a great place for breakfast in New York City, you must go to Petite Abeille ! They have different locations throughout the city so take a look at their website and pick which one is best for you! They are known for their Belgian Waffles! Look at the scrumptious breakfast I had below... Doesn't that just look so yummy?! I had the berry waffle and the omelette on the other end of the table was filled with brie (MY FAVORITE) and sun dried tomatoes. It was so good! The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice as well.  I went to the location on 17th Street and look at this fella who stopped by to say hello... What was also awesome about Petite Abeille, was that they had dinner specials for each night of the week! If you're looking for somewhere new to try out in New York City I would definitely recommend this place! Let me know what you get to eat! XO, FunSized

Fun New Fitness App!

Thanks to InStyle Magazine , I found out about this great new Fitness App called ' Teemo .' It's a free app you can get from iTunes that I recommend you get right this second! For someone like me, who needs discipline while working out, this app is perfect for you. You get an at-home trainer, a challenge, and a work-out all on your phone! What's better than that? ...Well I could name a few but let's focus on the app for right now! Teemo makes it fun for you to exercise! I've recently read multiple health articles that say the best kind of work outs are ones of short quick intervals that combine strength training, cardio and are bound to make you sweat! Teemo does all of those things and they make it a game too! Depending on which challenge you choose, after you complete about 5 exercises they reward you with an item related to the challenge you are on. The challenges vary from a 'Desert Dash' to 'Climb Everest.' Each challenge involves differen

The Results Are In...

Well this Three Day Detox turned into a Two- Day detox. My hunger took control and I just couldn't do it any longer! The detox ended this morning after I struggled through the night, being awoken constantly by my hunger. So this morning after my breakfast drink, my stomach was still growling and I decided that I needed to eat real food before I would pass out! The two day detox was really difficult. In the end, I feel like I spent a ton of money on food that got wasted because I didn't truly get to enjoy the fruits and vegetables that were put into the drinks. I was starving the two days. I thought the drinks would fill me up and they didn't and I did make them properly. Some people say that after doing these kinds of detoxes, you don't crave sweets or 'bad' food, but that's all I wanted to eat! I felt deprived from food. I eat healthy regularly but I just wanted to eat everything in sight! Here are what my drinks looked like for the two days: Breakf
